DirectX 10 (WGF 2.0): Longhorn goes Next-Gen
Longhorn uses the Windows Graphics Foundation, or WGF. WGF 1.0 will use DirectX 9.0c as it's primary interface, but Longhorn will also have the Next-Gen 3D API build in. You can see it as DirectX 10, but it's called WFG 2.0.
One of the important features of WGF is the Longhorn Display Driver Model (LDDM). It is possible with LDDM to install a new graphics driver without even rebooting your system. LDDM will ship in two stages. The first, called basic, supports current generation graphics hardware: shader model 2.0 and 3.0 capable hardware. The second stage of LDDM, "advanced," will support hardware features that ship ar the same time or after Longhorn is released, but will work with the new features in WGF 2.0. Because of the competitive way of graphics hardware development, we'll probably see advanced LDDM capable hardware before Longhorn is released. The current Windows XP driver model is still supported, but will be frozen going forward.

התקנתי רק את הרקעים של הלונגנהורן פאק, אחלה רקעים. [=
חבר שלי התקין את כל החבילה וזה דפק לו את המחשב, הוא היה צריך לפרמט אחרי זה.

1. המועדפים הם בדיוק אותו דבר כמו באקספלורר, הם פשוט נמצאים בסימניות-bookmarks
2. זה לא מצחיק דווקא, זה עצוב כי כרגע אין לדפדפן תמיכה מלאה במערכת של הפורום, לכן אם תנסה לסמן מילה ולצבוע אותה, כשתלחץ על הפקד זה יקפוץ למשהו אחר
הבעיה צפויה להיפתר בגירסאות עתידיות
3. בפיירפוקס אין ממש אפשרות של עידכון, אבל יש בדיקה אם יצאו עידכונים חדשים לדפדפן ולהרחבות שהתקנת לו(במקרה של הרחבות תוכל לעדכן מיד)
לגבי עידכון דפדפן-הדרך הטובה ביותר לעשות זאת היא להיכנס להוספה הסרה ופשוט למחוק אותו משם, או להשתמש בקובץ uninstallfirefox.exe בתיקיה של התוכנה
אחר כך פשוט תתקין את הגירסה החדשה יותר בדיוק לאותה תיקיה ותראה שישמרו ההרחבות, הסקינים והפרופיל שלך

בגלל זה הם הוציאו את 1.06 .. אני בכל אופן לא התקנתי כי אני משתמש ב FF הגרסה השניה..

שבוע לאחר שיחרורו התברר כי טלאי שאמור היה לתקן פרצות יצר בעיות נוספות; מפתחים: תוספת ה-Greasemonkey מכילה פירצת אבטחה חמורה
שבוע לאחר יציאת עידכון לתוכנות הדפדפן והמייל של מוזילה שיחררה להן קרן הקוד הפתוח עדכון נוסף. ב-eWeek דווח כי מוזילה מציעה להורדה את גירסה 1.0.6 של הפיירפוקס והתאנדרבירד לאחר שבטלאי הקודם, שנועד בין היתר לפתור בעיות אבטחה חמורות , התגלתה בעיה שגרמה לחוסר תאימות בין הדפדפן ליישומים מבוססי רשת ותוספים לתוכנה.
כריס הופמן האחראי על הנדסה במוזילה אמר כי "רק אחוז קטן של משתמשי פיירפוקס סבלו מהבעיה אבל יש מספר גדל של אנשים שמפתחים יישומים, תוכן ותוספים שמסתמכים על הפלטפורמה (פיירפוקס)". הגירסה הקודמת מספר 1.0.5. נועדה לטפל בכ-12 נקודות תורפה שהתגלו לאחרונה בתוכנה. לדברי הופמן, כמה מהפרצות הוגדרו כקריטיות.
נוסף על כל הצרות של הקרן התגלתה פירצה חמורה בתוספת Greasemonkey הפופולרית שמאפשרת להאקרים לחטוף קבצים מתוך מחשבים המשתמשים. התוספת מאפשרת למשתמשים לטעון סקריפטים שמשנים עמודי רשת במקום. הפירצה כה חמורה עד כי מפתחים ממליצים להסיר גירסאות של התוספת הישנות מגירסה 0.3.5.

EA לא תוותר ותלך עם זה לבית משפט, כי זה בעיקרון מראה את האיברים כמו בבובות ברבי וקן, ואין שום משהו פוגע או בולט.
כמובן כאלו דברים נעשים יותר גרועים ונקווה שלא ישפיע על דברים בעתיד כי אז יתחיל להיות ממש לא טוב.

- Issue fixed on machines where the OS has been updated (one OS installed over top of another) and has 2 registry keys that point to the users "My Documents" folder (we incorrectly used to assume the Win2000 folder, now correctly uses the last installed OS folder) - users know this as "user account period bug".
- Crash when entering advanced display options with only 32 meg of video ram (32 meg of video ram is not supported and will only allow use of 640*480 in 16 and 32 bit. At this resolution it is likely you will see the "Black Roads" LOD problem). We do NOT however disallow machines with 32 meg of video ram from running GRAND THEFT AUTO: San Andreas.
- Crash when entering advanced display options on a dual monitor machine after :- starting game on primary monitor in maximum resolution, exiting, starting again in maximum resolution on secondary monitor. Secondary monitor maximum resolution had to be greater than maximum resolution of primary monitor.
- Destroyed cars now are correct colour.
- Dirty cars now able to get clean.
- Numpad 5 key is now mappable when re-defining controls.
- Issue on all machines where certain collisions caused parts of the audio system to crash (sound effects, cutscene audio - only radio keeps going) - users know this as "Rain / Thunderstorm bug".
- Improvements to DVD streaming.
- Audio problems in interior / exterior transitions and getting in / out of cars fixed.
- Some fixes to ensure reverb is not present at certain save points.
- Improvements to dance game timings.
- Crash occuring when using "user radio files" while the frame limiter is disabled.

אני רואה הרבה סרטים, ואיתה היו לי בעיות עם כמה סרטים, עם ה-K LITE אין סרט שלא עובד, והאיכות נהדרת
